Åse Hagerman brings the Alba Show Chorus from Sweden to Croydon, England, for the Sweet Adelines Region 31 autumn education weekend.

Åse Hagerman brings the Alba Show Chorus from Sweden to Croydon, England, for the Sweet Adelines Region 31 autumn education weekend.

For the first time the Regional Management Team is organising a weekend that is proud to focus on our smaller choruses and show what can be achieved with a small number of singers on stage. But of course all the classes will be relevant to anyone singing barbershop! A focus on practical classes will make this weekend an experience not to be missed, helping chorus members to develop the skills that they need to bring out the best in themselves and their chorus.

Åse is well known in Europe and internationally and has coached many of the choruses in the UK. With her unique brand of energy and enthusiasm, Åse is unforgettable! Alba is a fine tuned show and barbershop chorus who love to sing and have so much fun together. It shows – and it's contagious! Prepare to be amazed when Alba perform on Saturday night.

The weekend will also include a symposium chorus of 100 women (first come, first served!) which will be co-directed by the two Assistant Directors of Alba Chorus, and of course the Young Women in Harmony chorus, directed by Angela Sanchez, for young singers aged 26 and under. Both choruses will perform in the Saturday night show along with Alba and a guest quartet.   Click here to see the programme for the weekend
